Here are some ideas of ways to raise money for MAP's work - inspired by previous MAP supporters

Why not throw a dinner party for friends or family and ask for a suggested donation?

Saffia says:

"As long as you keep organised you will be ok. Make sure you know what it is you are doing. If not, don't be afraid to seek advice from people who are willing to help you. I think MAP is doing a fantastic job and I am looking to do another event for MAP in January."

Alternatively, you could get creative and throw a Middle Eastern themed dinner party at your home with olives, tabbouleh, pitta bread and baklava.

Organise a music event!

Jeremy recently put on a gig for Gaza and raised over £100.

"The plight of the Palestinians is one very close to our hearts. We are keen to see money spent on the ground where it can make a real humanitarian difference and MAP gives us the channel though which this can be achieved.

We believe that fundraising should ago hand in hand with informing the public about these issues and the informal atmosphere of a concert can help achieve that aim. I recommend it to other fundraisers."

Sell your unwanted goods and donate the funds raised to MAP!

Lesley fundraised for MAP in October by holding a car boot sale.

"We nearly made our target from our car boot sale as we made £53.00 - which given it was a bit of a grey day I thought was rather good! Plus it was good fun!"

Lesley set herself the target of £63.00 with the thought in mind that this money could help MAP train women in Yatta, near Hebron, to provide health outreach services to their communities. She fundraised £53.00 then generously donated another £10.00 herself.
