13 May 2008
Israeli military bulldozers on Tuesday dug up vast areas of agricultural lands east of Khuza'a in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses told Ma'an's reporter that several Israeli military vehicles including bulldozers headed to the area from the east and began digging up agricultural lands from midnight last night. A large number of greenhouses were demolished before the Israeli forces withdrew on Tuesday at seven in the morning.
In a different regard, the military wing affiliated to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, said their fighters fired a homemade projectile at Israeli military tanks near the Sufa crossing on Monday midnight.
They said in a statement that the shelling came in retaliation for Israeli atrocities.
