THE AL-TANF REFUGEE CAMP
Iraq and Syria, next to the Syrian customs area. The Tanf camp is located on a narrow strip of land, squeezed between the Damascus-Baghdad highway and a security wall. The desert is characterized by extreme climate conditions: Now as summer is approaching, the heat is suffocating with temperatures soaring to 54 degrees Celsius. The area is infected with rats, scorpions and snakes, especially in summer.
