MAP publishes a bi-weekly E-Newsletter - The Monitor, a bi-annual magazine - Witness and a Programme Report and Annual Review.
MAP also publishes briefing papers and contributes to multi-agency reports on issues related to Palestinian health across the Middle East.
WITNESS
Witness is MAP's supporter newsletter. Published every six months, its purpose is to thank donors for their support, to keep them informed on key issues in the region and to update them on our work.
Recent Editions
Witness 14(February 2011) This edition of Witness brings people up to date with MAP's work across the Middle East. Particular focus is given to the issue of medical referrals from Gaza, with a letter from MAP President Chris Patten to the leadership of the EU concerning the blockade of Gaza included. In Lebanon MAP prepares for the release of a major report into Palestinian health by interviewing the UN's Salvatore Lombardo and featuring Suha's story, the tale of a Palestinian refugee struggling with cancer.
(August 2010) This edition of Witness marked the third anniversary of the blockade of Gaza. Following the war on Gaza we launched a critically-needed burns programme, upgrading old units, establishing new ones, providing equipment and training to treat burns casualties across the occupied Palestinian territory.
(February 2010) Includes an introduction from CEO Steve James, latest MAP news, an interview with new MAP President Lord Patten, an article about health services in East Jerusalem, a summary of the Failing Gaza report and an update to MAP's campaign to end the blockade of Gaza.
(July 2009) Featuring news from our team in Gaza, updates from Nahr al-Bared in Lebanon, the launch of the Lancet Palestinian health series, movement restriction in the West Bank and an interview with Tamara from Cycling4Gaza.
(August 2008) Focusing on the siege on the Gaza Strip, profile of Al Nasser Paediatric hospital, profile of Ameera Association and MAP's project helping mothers with disabled children, article on Palestinian refugees in Lebanon by MAP President Baroness Helena Kennedy.
(March 2008) Focusing on Palestinian refugees trapped at the Iraqi-Syrian border, interview with MAP's doctor working in Al-Waleed camp.
