Donations at our Annual Dinner 2006 helped pay for:
Ante and post-natal care for
2,000 women
in Yatta, Hebron. This included distribution of essential medicines and nutritional supplements.
88 disabled children
received individual rehabilitation program at home included training in ADL, mobility and social integration.
500 home visits
each month for children with cerebral palsy and motor delay in Gaza.
Training
25 health workers
for one year at the School of Community Health in Ramallah. Graduates will be working in 25 villages throughout the West Bank by September 2007.
Providing access to health facilities in
5 villages near Bethlehem
, which were cut off from health services as a result of the Wall.

MAP's Annual Fundraising Dinner

The Annual Dinner raised hundreds of thousands of pounds (final amount to be circulated soon) for critical health projects in Lebanon and Palestine.

MAP's supporters were extremely genero
us, and we appreciate the strong support of the community and individuals.

The event was sold out, very high attendance.

Raji Sourani's eloquent speech drew attention to the situation in Gaza
, and Baroness Kennedy
drew attention to the larger context of refugees in Lebanon and ongoing occupation and land annexation in the West Bank.

Jon Snow and HE Afif Safieh were fantastic and entertaining auctioneers.

Vanessa Redgrave, a MAP supporter, kindly donated 4 tickets to her new play and dinner afterwards, to raise money for MAP projects.
